World's Largest Digging Machine
This is the largest digging machine (or trencher or rotating shovel) in the world. It was built by Krupp and is shown here crossing a road in Germany on the way to its destination, an open air coal mine. Although at the mine the treads are unnecessary, it was cheaper to make the machine self-propelled than to try and move it with conventional hauling equipment. Some factoids: The machine is 95 meters high and 215 meters long (almost 2.5 football fields in length) Weight is 45,500 tons (that's equivalent to a bumper to bumper line of jeeps 80 miles long) It took 5 years to design and manufacture at a cost of $100 million Maximum digging speed is 10 meters per minute Can move more than 76,000 cubic meters of coal, rock, and earth per day

German Artist Sails on the Thames in a Paper Boat

German Artist Sails on the Thames in a Paper Boat

After carefully folding it on the banks of the Thames, artist Frank Bölter jumped into his origami boat and sailed it under the surprised gazes of passers-by. Named “To The World’s End”, Frank Bölter’s paper boat was part of the Drift 10 art exhibition, in London. It was created out of giant sheets of paper that he and the public at the Canary Wharf Docks folded, using origami techniques. Reinforced with metal poles, the unusual sailing craft didn’t seem to sink, and its creator was so relaxed that he laid back and read a newspaper, while the public stared at him in awe. More after the break...

This is not Frank Bölter first strange boat. In 2007, he put together a boat out of Tetrapack (the aluminum plated cardboard that milk cartons are made of) and sailed in it around Lauenburg harbour, in Germany. Just like “To The World’s End”, it was folded using origami techniques.

Kim Do-yeon - World’s Biggest Chocolate Addict

Kim Do-yeon, a 21-year-old woman from South Korea, has become an overnight celebrity in her native country after admitting to being a chocolate addict on live television.

On Nov 2, Kim Do-yeon (who calls herself "Baddoll") made an appearance on Korean TV show "The Martian Virus", where she confessed to consuming large quantities of chocolate every day.

Now, it takes some guts to show off your slim figure while admitting to having eaten north of 1.2 metric tons of chocolate in the last six years alone.

As she demonstrated in the television studio, Kim Do-yeon loves chocolate in all its forms. Whether she drinks it from a glass, or whether she eats it mixed with noodles or steamed rice, she just cannot get enough of it! That last part sounds nasty for Swiss ears, but I guess it is not much different from chocolate fondue...

To quench her craving for chocolate, Kim Do-yeon says she melts small pots of chocolate every day and mixes it with whatever else she may eat, even meat. Her TV appearance scored a record audience, and chocolate addict Kim Do-yeon became a real overnight celebrity.

So if you live in Switzerland or have ever been here on a visit, you have probably gotten into an affair with chocolate at one point. So why not take this opportunity to finally come clean and confess your secret chocolate addiction?! Go ahead and tell us! We won't judge you - promised!

Two open-mine excavators were left to rust. Although the maintenance stuff is yet there, the giants have got no work to do.

Giant Piranha Caught in Congo Rivers

This Piranha caught by Jeremy Wade's was known as one of the biggest piranha caught ever, with 5feet long and 100lbs weighing, this predator fish was looks very scary, here's the story of Jeremy Wade who has caught this rare piranha species in congo rivers, Jeremy Wade was known as a famous fisherman from Animal Planet’s River Monsters.

While he was on a fishing expedition with his crew in Africa, up the Congo River, the British angler made an amazing and rarely catch : he grappled with a giant piranha and managed to defeat the monster after a serious fight.

The result was astonishing as the 52-year-old fisherman pulled out of water a 5ft long goliath tigerfish and held it with both arms for fear of being bitten by its 32 razor-sharp teeth that have the same dimensions as those of a white shark. The goliath tigerfish is well known as being one of the most dangerous freshwater fish in the world, so Wade said he was extremely cautious when he pulled it out of water.

The 100lbs monster hasn’t been caught more than a few times before because of its ferocity and its habitat, which is very hard to reach. The giant piranha seems to consume prey the same size at itself and there have been cases when others have seen it tearing apart crocodiles or even people. Check out more of the Giant Sea Monster here. and the story of Steve Wozniak a man who catch 1000 different fish species.

Here's the terrifying Giant Piranha that was caught by Jeremy Wade's on Congo Rivers.
